We will spend the day working in the Garden to beautify and create new facilities for recreation and enjoyment in the Garden. All ages welcome!
Please note: For those who do not wish to drive to the Garden, we will provide a shuttle service between the parking near Knippenga and the Garden.
Activities will include:
Construction of two new picnic tables in the upper shelter.
Installation of new informational signage.
With help from ReforeStatia, we will plant some trees along the road, around a trellis and around the main shelter area. Species to be planted include Lignum Vitae, Pride of Barbados and Passionfruit.
Construction of a new bench and rededication a plaque from an old bench.
Removal of invasive species such as Neem, Tan-Tan and Coralita.
General clean-up, pruning, rock wall building and other maintenance.
